Settlers Rise Vineyard and Winery was established in 1998 on the Blackall Range – the iconic elevated hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

For 10 years, Peter Scudamore-Smith (Australia’s second Master of Wine) has brought his 23 years of winemaking skills to the grape selection and winemaking for Settlers Rise. Thirty-seven prestigious wine awards and numerous accolades are testimony to his world acclaimed skills in producing both traditional and innovative wines that satisfy consumer demand – from entry level to the wine cognoscenti.

In 2008, Settlers Rise produced 3080 dozen bottles of wines and processed some 36 tonnes of grapes. Two new lines introduced to our range in 2008 were our Reserve Sparkling Chardonnay and Reserve Pinot Gris.

Although a Sunshine Coast winery with its core vineyards almost 1000 metres above sea level in the cool climate Granite Belt, the Settlers Rise Wines are enjoyed as much by consumers throughout Queensland, as they are by National and International visitors who like to taste the region they are visiting.

Settlers Rise doesn’t have a cellar door for the public to access. The focus is on Purchases On Line and On Premise wholesale sales. The wines aren’t in retail bottle shops. They are exclusive artisan wines – direct from the vineyard.
