"RECOMMENDED FOR ABOVE AVERAGE QUALITY AND CLEAR VARIETAL EXPRESSION' James Halliday
Review: A handcrafted artisan wine. The "must-have" big crowd favourite Sauvignon Blanc rich wine to be enjoyed when you want something uncomplicated, lively, thrillingly refreshing and deliciously fruity.
This vibrant, cool, fresh white is an ideal thirst quencher on a hot day. The harmonious blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon has produced a classic blend sought by modern drinkers; each variety contributes fruit character and a light, zingy, crisp finish. An intense nose showing lemon, vanillin, cut grass, gooseberry and spice characters. It has oodles of all the usual suspects on the flavour dial - cut grass, asparagus, gooseberries and citrus. The texture surges like an alpine stream under the vibrant and zingy palate with its sweet lemony fruit, crisp refreshing acidity and a lengthy finish. These juicy lemony grape flavours make it a wonderful aperitif with a good chill; but let it warm up and its abundant citrus flavours guarantee a perfect match with fresh seafoods, salads and light lunch mains. If you want to go to heaven, try a glass with a plate of fresh cooked king prawns! Also a great wine to wash a conversation down with on the verandah. A very impressive wine representing amazing value.

Wine that loves: Goats' cheese is a taste marriage made in heaven - the wine balances the cheese's fattiness and matches its pungency with ease. Seafoods such as fresh prawns or oysters - the acid cleans the palate and the wine doesn't override the delicate flavour of the seafood. Grilled or poached salmon, white flesh fish, seafood salad, asparagus quiche, light Asian noodle style salad, poached scallops, herb-crusted snapper, lemon-marinated fish, steamed black mussels with lemon and coriander, calamari, pipis in foil on the barbie, asparagus terrine, sugar-cured tuna, Greek food like feta, octopus, dolmades, tzatziki. Chicken, lentil, goat cheese and rocket salad, Thai vegetable and cashew stirfry, Vietnamese lemongrass chicken salad, fresh or stirfry prawns, risotto of asparagus and broad beans spiked with fresh herbs, risotto with scallops, bruschetta with tomato and basil, salad nicoise, camembert with ripe fresh figs and watercress.
