The Classic Christmas Dessert Wine: Unwooded Glowing Gold with luscious elegant fruity flavours.
Review: a handcrafted artisan wine. The Blackall Range 2008 was blended by our Master of Wine from three aromatic rich flavour late harvest grapes - Chardonnay, Verdelho and Semillon from warm and cool regions. The fruit flavours are balanced with a good backbone of acidity to avoid any cloying mouthfeel.
The wine shows papaya and mango fruit from late ripened Verdelho, melon from Chardonnay and Lemon from Semillon.

Wine that loves: tapas, spicy meatballs, green curries, seafood salads, casual nibbles and chicken dishes. Commonly served alongside any kind of dessert, but it can even be enjoyed as a dessert replacement - a good rule of thumb is to ensure that it is sweeter than the food it is served with. Caramelised citrus fruits with Greek style yoghurt, apple and rhubarb tarts with icecream, cheesecake.
WINE LOVERS' CHOICE AWARDS: 3.5 STAR "Very Good - a wine with special qualities". High Bronze Medal equivalent. (Average of last 500 Wine lovers' ratings.)
