Chardonnay grown on the Granite Belt was selected and prepared for sparkling by our Master of Wine Peter Scudamore-Smith.
Grapes were harvested early in a mild season to preserve the fresh lemon acidity of this wine.
The bubbles were applied by the Charmat method after three months aging on malo-lactic lees.
The style is varietal lemony chardonnay with fullness and a pleasant dry finish. Serve on any occasion that deserves bubbles.
This medium bodied unwooded white is an ideal thirst quencher on a hot day.
The blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc has produced a light/crisp styled wine. The colour is pale yellow/green exhibiting an aromatic citrus nose.
A "drink now" blend that will develop complexity over a year or two. Great on a warm sunny day with a plate of fresh cooked prawns!
The Verdelho grape is flourishing in Queensland’s sub-tropical climate.
Verdelho 2008 was blended by our Master of Wine Peter Scudamore-Smith from grapes grown in the South Burnett and Granite Belt.
Unoaked with a concentrated tropical nose, a rich flavour gives this wine persistence in it’s aftertaste and soft mouthfeel.
An excellent accompaniment to Asian and middle Eastern dishes. Wine vinified in South East Queensland.
Blackall Range 2008 was blended by our Master of Wine, Peter Scudamore-Smith from a selection of Queensland grown grapes - Verdelho, Chardonnay and semillon from warm and cool regions, including our Montville vineyard.
The wine shows papaya and mango fruit from late ripened verdelho, melon from chardonnay and lemon from semillon.
Light, fruity with a hint of shiraz spice, "Razorback" Red is an ideal red wine for our Queensland climate.
This unwooded wine is a blend of grapes, with Merlot from the Granite Belt with shiraz and cabernet from our own Montville Vineyard.

A classic blend of Cabernet and Merlot, this wine has a wonderful complex nose consisting of herbals and earthiness with strong cherry nose from the Merlot.
The wine is full flavoured with oak char, Cabernet richness and Merlot softness.
It is ready for consumption now or cellaring for the next few years.
This Pinot Gris was selected from late ripened grapes grown in the Granite Belt by our Master of Wine Peter Scudamore-Smith.
The season was mild and the ripening conditions excellent. Part was stainless steel aged and part barrel aged on lees for three months before bottling.
The style is medium bodied wine, distinct in its pear aroma and flavour typical of this variety.
Serve with pastas, spicy or middle Eastern dishes.
High quality shiraz grown on the Darling Downs was selected and blended by our Master of Wine Peter Scudamore-Smith.
The 2005 season was very warm but excellent for this Rhone variety and high ripeness resulted.
The wine was aged in French barriques for eighteen months before bottling.
The style is fill bodied with a strong tannin backbone enhanced by licorice and mocha fruit flavours.
Excellent with rib eye and similar red meats or with richly sauced braises.
A classic Tawny style with characteristic rancio aromas and baked raisin flavours.
Beautiful with cheeses, spicy fruit cake and Arabica coffee.
